Uncle Roll

He has recently moved to Thailand and is one of Lithuania’s bright and talented DJs.

Be exceptional but cater for masses. Stay original and maintain a positive and energetic vibe. Move forward but never lose sight of the old school. This can be called “an extract from a great artist’s Bible” that namely DJ Uncle Roll followed until he was able to develop his unique style.

It became recognizable for the force of the underground house flows erupting through the techno basement and swamping the dance floor with emotional, energy saturated tech house rhythms. Starting with the interest in electronic dance music at a young age, the career curve of Uncle Roll had it’s ups and downs during the varied five year time period increasingly rising up with the tasteful sounds. His talented personality grew alongside and today Uncle Roll is a well known music producer, organizer and promoter of the largest EDM music events.

Back in 2007, with the help of his creative mates Uncle Roll invented the first Lithuanian electronic music radio station called “Organzza”. This was not enough and soon he became the host of his own show on the biggest internet radio called “Proton Radio”. His radio-show is also broadcast worldwide on various FM radio stations.

In proof of the fact that young performers can reach a lot, being only 23 years old, Uncle Roll took an opportunity to realize his creative ideas by getting an invitation to become a resident of the biggest Lithuanian club named “Kiwi” as well as a manager of its events and advertising. The year of 2011 were extremely successful for this electronic music devotee. It brought an chance to join events held in Porto (Portugal), London (United Kingdom), Riga (Latvia), Warsaw (Poland), Brighton (United Kingdom), Ibiza (Spain), Barcelona (Spain), Bangkok (Thailand, Mui Ne (Vietnam).

A trip to Ibiza brought Uncle Roll a chance to participate in the conference of BURN project and meet such known dance music performers as Sasha, Carl Cox and many others. Later Uncle Roll joined the line-up of the BURN music party. He finished this great year with the holidays in Asia and made a mini DJ tour to such places as Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Philippines that inspired him to explore different lifestyle and enrich his creation. While mostly spending the year of 2012 in his home country Lithuania, Uncle Roll came up with one more prosperous idea: hand in hand with his two friends he opened an original and unique venue concept which earned a lot of attention and hit the highlight in local clubbing scene.

The rooftop terrace was called SKY21 and brought the amazing view to the Baltic sea, cocktails, barbecue food and sunsets every night to the joy of the hometown clubbers…and of course this pleasure was leaded by the subtle sounds of Uncle Roll. During his DJ career, Uncle Roll had a chance to share the decks with such guests as Noir, Jody Wisternoff, Marc Romboy, Paul Thomas, Robert Babicz, Anthony Pappa, Jimmy Van M, Chloe Harris, Add2Basket, Sasha & Digweed, Steve Lawler, D. Ramirez, Guy J, Phonique, Shlomi Aber, James Talk, Alan Fitzpatrick and many more whose names pop up in every young DJ dream.

With no doubts Uncle Roll had a chance to show his talents in music creation. His tracks were released at Proton Music, Balkan Connection, BreakoutAudio, Circle Music, 220 V Rec. and found a place among his fans playlists immediately.
